As an HR practitioner, I found labour laws tough to interpret and too many to handle. I also felt HR Policies needed to be designed to be more sector and context specific.
Hence the thought: If one were to take away the complexity that HR professionals deal with and give them exactly what they need for their business; would that be useful?

Tarun believes strongly in exploring new consulting approaches, which led to the genesis of Carpediem and its evolution. The firm has a unique approach to organisational development and is an early entrant in the employer brand advisory space.
Through ‘The HR Policy’, he aims to help every organisation, from startups to established ones, easily abide by the laws of the land and frame progressive people policies without needing to develop deep expertise in these areas. Keep moving forward
His versatility allowed him to work across myriad roles, from managing HLL’s employer brand equity to developing category-wise business strategies to designing OD interventions. His HR experience spanned both Industrial Relations and Management Development. The former exposed him to engaging with unionised workforces, overseeing statutory compliance and handling labour-related legal matters. The latter oriented him toward creating processes, practices and policies that are progressive and employee-friendly.
